September 25th, 2010, “El Boldo Park” was officially inaugurated and symbolically handed over to the community of the town of Zapallar, after years of work to ensure this area remained properly protected. The legal structure in force today allows to assure its destiny for the conservation in permanent form and has delegated the administration of the Park to “Corporación el Boldo de Zapallar” a non-profit organization created by neighbors of the municipality with the sole purpose of contributing to the conservation of forests coastal areas of the “Región dde Valparaiso”, Chile.
