On September 25, 2010, El Boldo Park was officially inaugurated and symbolically handed over to the community of the resort of Zapallar, after years of work to ensure that this area remained properly protected. The legal structure in force today allows to assure its destiny for the conservation in permanent form and has delegated the administration of the Park to CBZ, nonprofit organization created by neighbors of the commune with the sole purpose of contributing to the conservation of forests coastal areas of the Fifth Region.
